This papercut was on the cover of “The Jewish Life” magazine. Its intriguing design, elegant composition and powerful message transcends religious boundaries. The play on word light, light as a feather and light that candle provides to dispel the gloom, is at the heart of this artwork, since knowledge could be defined by both.
Originally designed as a present for a Bar Mitzvah, this papercut is very popular not only as a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, Graduation and Retirement gifts, but also used by Jewish organizations as a special awards to an outstanding members.
