The border of this piece is reminiscent of Persian floral patterning. The next border is a part of the text from Song of Songs in which King Solomon speaks of beauty and the purity of love. Surrounding the text, on a pastel yellow background, are medieval depictions of birds, flowers, musical instruments and animals. Although full of detail, the work gives the viewer a feeling of airiness and inspiring feelings of tranquility and peace.
