This painting seeks to understand the transcendent message of Yom Kippur by fusing images derived from the critically illuminating Hebrew word “Goral” (“Lot”) found in both the Yom Kippur Torah reading from Leviticus XVI, and the Haftorah reading from the book of Jonah.
