Nahum HaLevi is a visionary painter, neurosurgeon, neurochemist, and inventor. He is a published author of books and articles related to science, medicine, art, and the Bible. He has had solo international exhibits of his works at The Jewish Museum of Prague and the Jewish Museum of Australia and several national exhibits.

Nahum HaLevi's life-time artistic project is to create a post-modern re-illuminated Tanach by attempting to grasp its transcendent meaning, and by extension to use art as a tool to try to understand the underlying nature, structure and essence of the universe. He views every two-dimensional biblical canvas as a small bird's eye view of the vast space-time continuum. Different splashes of paint and letters all represent scattered points in space and time, all splayed out in a microcosm allowing us to grasp past, present and future, as they twinkle, coexist and meld into one coherent whole giving us a multifaceted perception of infinitely changing realities, perhaps a fragmentary glimpse of God.
